Announcing the Caring Kits for Kids ‘Gym Challenge’

We are always busy thinking of new ways of raising funds to allow our work to continue; supporting those in hospital at challenging times in their lives. So we were thrilled when two depots, local to recipient hospitals, suggested a ‘Gym Challenge’ for their employees. Not only did this sound like a great opportunity to get exercising, it also allows gym-goers to make some money for charity whilst working out.

Over seven days, between 24th and 31st October, staff will be encouraged to cycle or run 200 miles and lift 10 tonnes (320 km and 10,000kgs in new money) during their gym sessions. The hope is to achieve this feat cumulatively with, for example, 6 people completing 5 miles a day in order to reach the target.

Donations to this cause can be made via the JustGiving platform and the ambition is to raise £1000 at each branch while promoting well-being and ensuring some healthy competition between colleagues! Translated, this money would allow the charity to provide 20 packs to those in need at both North Middlesex and St George’s University Hospitals. Best of luck to all involved and please accept our heartfelt thanks for all of your efforts.
